It was founded by Dennis Hurd in 1985 and first operated off the Cayman Islands, British West Indies. In 1988, the first Atlantis Submarines operations began in Kona, Hawaii. Today, passengers can experience the Atlantis Submarine tours in Hawaii at three different locations, namely, Waikiki, Maui, and Kona.
